My dad, Phil, started The Leader’s Edge in 1999. Right around when he started coaching me and my friends to play basketball. I didn’t realize it at the time, but he was teaching our group of 10-year-olds many of the same principles of high-performance that we use in our coaching today.
I ended up playing on the varsity team at UVic where I studied commerce and philosophy.
After graduation, I dedicated five years to customer service roles with two of our local ferry boat operators, Black Ball and then BC Ferries.
I went on to coordinate VIATEC’s accelerator program during which time I worked alongside executives and business coaches to support nearly 100 entrepreneurs with launching their tech startups. During that time, I participated in my first coaching training program. That exposure sparked my fascination with how people grow, change, and step into their potential, and eventually led me here.
I’m certified by the International Association of Coaching, which means my coaching is grounded in presence, curiosity, and deep listening. I come to this work with a caring heart, a love for solving problems, and the mind of a philosophy nerd who can’t help but connect the dots.
When I’m not coaching, I like to shoot hoops, play tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons or Magic: The Gathering, video games, reading, writing and producing electronic music.
